I would say, how somebody responds to stupidity. Do you laugh if a child spills coffee or do you deduct $0.25 from their Christmas fund?

I'd laugh and help them clean it up. Most spills are easy fixes. If it damages an expensive electronic device, then a lesson in the importance of being mindful of your surroundings may be in order depending on how the spill happened. It can also just be an accident where the poor thing tripped.
