If you were a lieutenant and found out a male civilian and female cop of your precinct are dating or having an intimate relationship, what would you do? How would you feel?

All female cops should also be nuns. It solves a LOT of problems. "Holy water" is a real weapon, cast out demons, won't use the lead shooter. that aside...

Problem with female cops is they are extra hot, all those powerful tools and a big gun, need I say hand cuffs... guys have no power to resist.

That can lead to jealousy... pride... the fall of mankind, all over again. not good.

And then they have to go to church for confessionals...

Otherwise, I'd say, I'd be happy for them, as long as they are able to do a professional job, all is well.

I couldn't care less if they dated. I would never work anywhere that had a no-dating policy, just out of principle. Just like I would never work anywhere that did drug testing, just out of principle. Just like I'd never work anywhere that checked social media or credit history, just out of principle.

That is not uncommon whatsoever, in fact that is probably the vast majority of officers date someone other than another officer.
Same as the fire dept.
One of our medics has a boyfriend that is on the job but in a different department, and one couple at our house are dating each other.
Otherwise, the rest of the department is either single/dating/married to someone that is not on the department, including myself.
