So i noticed some mouse dropping in my engine bay and i got pissed off. So i set up 10 rat/mouse traps around the perimeter. Aside from a few mice and a rat im mostly trapping birds. I probably already trapped like 20 birds already if you count all the birds i trapped last year too. Would this be considered cruel? I really don't want to stop because i don't want more mice in my engine bay so i just keep resetting the traps i feel sorry for the birds but not much i can do about it. I even learned that some of the birds were endangered like the cardinal i caught one time. Would you think im a cruel person?

Yes, setting up traps that are killing birds, including endangered birds, is considered cruel and inhumane. It is important to find alternative methods to address the issue of mice in your engine bay that do not harm other animals.
There are humane traps available that can capture mice without killing them, allowing you to release them into the wild far away from your engine bay. Additionally, there are various methods for preventing mice from entering your engine bay in the first place, such as sealing any openings or using deterrents like peppermint oil.
It is important to prioritize the well-being of all animals and to avoid causing harm or suffering whenever possible. If you continue to use lethal traps, it may be worth considering the ethical implications and seeking alternative solutions that are more humane and compassionate.
Probably not anymore cruel than if you got a cat to live there and catch the mice.
