I used to have one, but it died, and I really didn't feel like I needed to buy a new one because my boyfriend can usually drive me everywhere I need to go. I know many people who don't. Some can get everywhere with public transportation and a couple people I know just don't want to get a license because driving gives them anxiety.

In Turkey, you have to work for about 2 years to earn the money of a 30 year old car with minumum wage salary. And this can only be done without spending money for anything else, which isn't possible unless somebody is getting all other your needs.

They’re everywhere in New York City, as an example. They have a very thorough subway system connecting most of the city, and buses to fill in the gaps, not to mention cabs for those who can afford it. Other places, you’re in for a rough go without one. Even a big place like Los Angeles, their public transportation leaves A LOT to be desired. I suppose you probably don’t want to have to much of a subway system in earthquake country though, haha

I know several people over 25 who don't own a car. Most of them live in large cities (like NYC) where public transit is good, and driving/parking is difficult... and expensive. One guy I know rents a car when he goes on vacation... it's cheaper than owning one.

Im blessed to have a car. Although i really don't like driving but i don't plan on getting robbed on the bus or train. Public trans is usually filthy, dirty and dangerous.

That's bull ish lol can get a new car with just one job just pay a higher down payment if your credit isn't great. Now if your trying to drive a brand new foreign then your gonna need a new good job for that lol
