Does a car HAVE to 25 years old to be imported into the USA?

Nope. Automobiles are imported everyday day from overseas brand spanking new right out of the factory on car ships... They just have to comply with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) which cover a wide variety of design, construction, performance, durability, and safety standards to consider them road worthy. The 25 year rule has to do with importing classic cars for collectors that don't meet the FMVSS standards. Obviously very old vehicles are based on old technology and not designed with current rules in mind.

No, one of my customers was the sole importer of toyotas for the northeast. They would come into the US on a ship. Since they were out in the open during the whole trip they would be covered in seagull poop. They had two carwashes set up that the cars were driven through after the drove off the ship. These cars were all brand new.

Ok thanks I have a question. So I want to order a 2021 hiphi x from alibaba so when my car is delivered at the port, don't I have to show proof that I own the car? I mean, I figure they wouldn't just let someone come and take the keys and leave lol

I'm pretty sure that's not the case. Perhaps if you're calling it a classic car and trying to skip out on an import tax or something.
