Definitely preferred Judy Garland. Diana ass couldnt act and her solo songs sucked! But when she sang Brand New Day and Be a Lion, i liked that. Still, Just had that innocence. Her acting was on point. And she sounded amazing vocally

I agree , Stephanie mills was supposed to Play Dorothy in the wiz instead of Diana because berry gordy thought she was too old for the part but Diana went behind his back and talked with executives to be convinced to have her in the movie and also include Michael in as the scarecrow

Stephanie wouldn't have appealed to me either. We needed Donna Summer, Gladys Knight, or Chaka Khan. They had the look and the voice. Plus Gladys is a better actor than Diana. Diana wouldve played the part better many years later when she aged up and could act better
