I think Wizard of Oz had the better actors in terms of the scarecrow, dorothy and tinman. But Ted the Lion from the Wiz absolutely killed it! He was EVERYTHING! Diana was really the only character i disliked. I wanted her to die in that film 😂 She was mad annoying. But the Lions swag and demeanor was amazing. Nipsey and Michael sang great but the acting was bad. Richard Pryors acting was horrific!

The Wiz also had the better songs. “You can't Win”, “Be a Lion”, “Mean Ole Lion”, “Ease On Down the Road”, “Dont Bring Ne No Bad News”, “A Brand New Day”, What Would I Do”, and “Slide some oil to me” were great! I hated tinman, lion and scarecrows “If I Only Had a..” songs in Wizard of Oz. Bt Dorothys “Over the Rainbow”, “We’re Off to See the Wizard” and “Follow the Yellow Brick Road”

Wizard of Oz had the better set and intro tornado scene. The Wiz was really just great in terms of representation, popular celebs and soundtrack. Plus it was funnier and less corny. But man that flying monkey chase scene in both films were amazing
