There are a few such models, but they aren't overly popular.

The Kia Rio, the Mini Cooper, the Nissan Versa, the Chevy Spark. Formerly also the Toyota Yaris and Honda Fit, both of which have been discontinued.

You mostly find these cars in big cities - still not common but most often there - because they're easier to find parking for.

Such cars are less than 1% of annual sales in the US. The most common single model last year was the Toyota RAV4, with the Tesla Model Y just behind it and certain to overtake it this year.

Smaller cars aren't available in the US because the auto lobbyists can deregulate laws to create larger cars to sell for more money, and market bigger cars as MANLY and tough. The crazy part is the marketing works...

There are some small cars. Like sedans. But for instance, trucks are an entirely different story. The American style pickup is the only one available to buy, because of trade laws. Big, useless trucks marketed for TOUGH men, with shorter beds that can't carry as much as older models. That's why it's the most popular model sold in the US...

But with a loophole, automakers have been able to create SUVs out of truck parts, classify them as "light trucks" so they can avoid the maximum bumper height laws, and make more money doing so. Meanwhile, these are great for killing pedestrians due to the poor visibility.

The fact that SUVs (light trucks) are then marketed as "protective family vehicles" means you see more of them on the street than there should be. These things are dangerous even to other drivers, as sedans aren't designed to sustain a crash against a ww2 tank-sized vehicle.

In Turkey, even a 30 year old car costs 2 years of working in minumum wage salary.

Buying any car less than 20 year old is luxury in Turkey.
