How did you learn to love yourself?

For me its very natural, but ill share the trick with you.
Within you is the real you, the one you are deep down no matter if your currently aligned with that person or not.

Who you really are, defines what you love in a very authentic sense. So you will love certain traits about other people, you will love doing certain things, etc.

Now take a look and think about all these wonderful traits that you value and love, that love for those traits, that sense of that being right and you admiring that? That is the key to self discovery. You will be able to find out that in many ways you already strived for those qualities very naturally, and even if you didn't at all and you hate who you turned out to be. Then that does not matter, because deep down that real you inside is still intact. All you have to do is strive towards being that role model that what you love defines.

So with a bit of luck, you notice you already have those traits you love or are well on your way towards them. That means you can love yourself for it. If not and you are very far removed from them you can't just cheat code your way to loving yourself, but you can work on yourself along these guidelines to obtain what you would love.

I hope it helps, its an incredible journey of self discovery and it helps you be and remain your true authentic self should you choose to pursue it.

I always believe that being materially stable gives us pride, honor and confidence. And with these comes the ability to love ourselves.

Hence I acquire skills, start business, enter the stock market and learn to avoid getting into debts.

With some savings, relationship begins. No discrimination, but girls like guys who are financially OK.

With career, relationship and then buying bjg ticket items like houses and cars, I got my pride, honor and confidence.

And after sustaining these for decades, I think I love myself realistically.

Spend time alone. Learn to like your own company and be nice to yourself. If you make yourself a meal put effort into it and make the plate look nice. Buy yourself flowers and keep them in your bedroom. Etc. The better you treat yourself the more you will love yourself.
