Apparently I might’ve been followed home and I didn’t realize it what do I do?

Background information I am a 17 year old girl. My driveway is secluded roughly 1/4-1/3 mile long with twists, and turns with trees surrounding and on private property. Anyways, I left 2 times today once to go to Starbucks and the other time the the gas station to get ice. When I was leaving to get ice a family friend J was there I said hi and then left. I came back and then later on when back outside cause I forgot something in my car and I say J and my dad talking. J asked me if I noticed anyone following me home or if I ordered any doordash and I no. said that he saw a tiny car and a Big guy driving down the driveway after I came home and then left when he saw J. So now I’m paranoid and am worried that I actually was being followed. The fact that their first thought was me being followed is unsettling. What do I do? I live on a decent amount of land with a bunch of trees so that makes the psychological fear worst too.

A few things... for I was followed home and I live in an open area in a cul-de-sac, and when I saw a car following me, I backed in the drive, and got out and confronted my 'follower' straight on... he left.

In your case, you have the right to defend yourself , and use whatever means you can find to do just that. I carry Mace...Bear Spray... in my car and it CAN be deadly in some instances, and may well permanently blind an attacker... not the same thing as carrying a firearm, so is not a deadly weapon, per se... You live in a secluded area and should be able to protect yourself if need be.

Report the incident to local authorities first and try to get a plate number if you see him again...

the only thing in my car that i could possibly be use defend myself is my ice scraper and brush (I should really take it out of my car though it’s almost summer) but even with that I don’t think it’ll do much since im pretty small (5’0 110ish lbs) there isn’t much fighting I could do if worst comes to worst. Am I just being paranoid?

When I lived in England in my teens this was a serious issue and precautions had to be taken. I played field hockey and used to carry a hockey stick about for protection going to and from school even on days there was no game or practice. Used to have to carry a hockey ball because of the way self defence laws are in the uk, where if I was carrying a hockey stick as a weapon for self defence that would be premeditated assault if I used it but if I just happened to be carrying it for sport reasons and defended myself then it's OK.

I was followed from school a few times, even chased a few times and confronted.

It's possible you weren't followed at all and maybe the guy or whoever navigator took them the wrong way.
