Yuck. I got one sight unseen, or rather nose unsmelled, that was Maple and Tobac. I was expecting maybe maple tree and cherry pipe tobacco or something that would be pleasant. Instead it smelled like someone poured syrup over an ashtray. Disgusting.
I like the smell of raw tobacco! But burned cigarettes and cigars just smell like ash. A pipe, on the other hand, is smoked for the aroma of flavored pipe tobacco. When I was in college, there was a professor who smoked Cherry Blend pipe tobacco. If you had a class in a classroom where he had just finished teaching a section, you always knew he had been in there! I myself used to smoke a pipe (as did my dad before me) and I became partial to Apple tobacco. My dad used to smoke Revelation.

Bullshit. Tobacco leaf has a sweet smell. I use tobacco scented beard balm and body wash. If you think it smells like an ashtray then you have never smelled an ashtray.
