In my car, yes.
We have a window AC in our bedroom for hot nights, but no AC in the rest of our house.
We have a swamp cooler (evaporative cooler) for our living room. It works great here in California where it's not humid. They don't work in humid weather.
We drain it and move it out of the window in the fall, and restore/refurbish it in the summer. We also use fans and have great cross ventilation.
Our house stays really comfy even when it's in the 90s and when we have hot spells over 100.
It saves a lot on electricity.
