A woman I work with volunteers at a shelter. She puts pictures of some of the pets they have up on the bulletin board. I told her that all the photos look like mug shots.

Nope! I learned my lesson with this fucking cat I adopted. The shelter talked us into taking an older cat instead of a kitten. Poor thing was declawed and had a bunch of mental issues that I've never seen in a cat before. Eventually, I had to pay to have the thing put to sleep. The cat had FIV, was a biter, and all sorts of problems. Never again. A grown animal is trained by someone that most likely does not behave like yourself. If you take that animal on, all the issues that the animal developed is suddenly your problem.
Never again. It wasn't the animal's fault, but I would've never made a cat act like that. I would highly advise anyone not to adopt a fully grown animal. That might sound harsh knowing they'll just get put to sleep eventually... but that's better than you ending up having to pay to have them put to sleep.
Oh gawd the SJW chick at the front desk giving me shit about that too... the doctor and I had an agreement but this fucking SJW chick wants to tell me I'm a bad bad man. Wish I could kidnap her and put her to sleep. Anyways, I put the cat in a beer box and threw him in the garbage. The vet place was trying to get me to pay for getting rid of the body as well. Hell naw... that garbage can was cheaper.

It's true they kind of look like a bunch of thugs.
I can't adopt right now or else I would already have a pet. I would go for the rott or shepherd. I do love a pitt, but also can't handle their energy and aggression, they're too dangerous for my tastes (and yes I had one for 10+ years and he was a murderous bastard and I loved him so please don't start with me #notallpitts
I'd probably go for a cat, though tbh.

Absolutely I would. My family and I adopted a rottweiler from the pound when I was 11. She was one of the best dogs we ever had until cancer took her
12 ReplyIt's sad that many people hate pillbulls just because of their breed when there are some out there who are the sweetest dogs ever. It's even sadder knowing that so many people who believe only pitbulls are dangerous when all dogs can be dangerous.
Labrador have attacked kids but the media just choose not to report those attacks- 1 y
Pit bulls have gotten a bad rap. However I used to run in the morning and had a route that went through a neighborhood where there was a pit bull chained up. This dog used to go nuts when I ran by.. One morning the dog started barking at me and suddenly he ripped the piece of trim that he was chained to right off the side of the house. He started chasing me, dragging a ten foot piece of trim behind him. There was a few cars driving by so I was able to keep a car between me and the dog and eventually I got away. Otherwise this dog might have ripped my head off.

I live in an apartment, and I know how much dogs love to bark.

I would adopt every single one of them if I could.

if we could take a pet yes. but we can't handle one due to our lifestyle. We got space, but not not the patience/time.
We adopted multiple adult pets in our lives and all worked out fine. Im not a fan of pit bull types. A couple o those look interesting personalities... nicco, jake. Nicco looks very smart.
Feel for the pets... so many got turned loose, not enough homes.00 Reply 764 opinions shared on Other topic. I've been seeing an alarming upturn in the percentage of pit bull breeds on group dog adoption sites.
I love all dogs but have serious reservations about pit breeds.
I know of all of the people that swear by their personalities.
Still,...
I'm a small dog guy, myself, so I wouldn't be in line to adopt any of these dogs. Maybe when I was a younger man, not now.

No pit bull breeds for me. They are probably there for a reason.

Brace yourself for all the triggered pitbull dog moms.

@Mangospacho And rightfully so. You canāt admit all dogs can be aggressive.

@Sasha0426 Yes, they were unwanted is my observation. If you really cared about your dog you wouldn't dump it, unless it caused a bucket load of trouble and all the neighbors were complaining to Animal Control about it.

@Sasha0426 I will let the flyer speak for itself.

@Mangospacho Right, mostly all pit bull breeds. The animal shelters can't get rid of them so they have to make fliers.
I sure love animals and I like for them all to be safe, happy, and healthy but these puppers sure don't look too friendly.

Nope! The last dog I adopted is a huge jerk and had lots of medical bills. I'll never take that chance again.

I have and he's a sweetheart. Mine looks like the dog named gorgeous in the pick. I was skeptical at first as he was high strung but has mellowed out since and hasn't met a person he doesn't instantly love. Any burglar who breaks into my home would be welcomed by 60lbs of pure muscle and a waging tale. There is nothing wrong with "dangerous" dog breeds its their owners who give them a bad name.

could they add my name onto the list? I am quiet and I don't take up so much space.
10 Reply - 1 y
Yep, I would. I like Jake the most. Others scare me a bit.
10 Reply 761 opinions shared on Other topic. So many communities are putting restrictions on most of those dogs regardless of their personal temperament. Which is a shame because the original owners probably made the dogs what they are.
Even insurance companies are restricting some breeds!00 Reply- 1 y
Wish I could, but with my schedule I could never have a dog by myself. Iād take King in a second, love rotties
10 Reply Photography is an art. Little effort and any dog can look more approachable. Taking a close image of a dog happily playing would be worlds better for finding homes for these dogs than these images.

without a doubt!!! I have the biggest pet fever recently so I have been holding myself from looking at cats to adopt near where I live because I do not have the time to take care of a pet right now, however I will be adopting one soon hopefully!!

I want all of them. If I only had the space, time, and money, and also not a small child at home so no pets allowed rn. 😖
00 Reply - 1 y
I would adopt all of them except the first and the third but I would only adopt 2 of those at a time.
00 Reply - 1 y
Why not take multiple pictures of the dog, the mug shot, a cute one with some text of how they are as a character, their name, etc
00 Reply I already have two dogs. I only have 2 hands, so no...

Omg they're all adorable.
Criminally adorable.00 Reply - u1 y
I could picture having Jake, hah. He looks like a lot of fun! Hope he finds a home.

I like Jake and Nicholas. If I didn't have any other pets I'd adopt them, but with 5 cats and a dog I think we have enough

These just all happen to be dogs that may cause your homeowners insurance to skyrocket.
00 Reply 18.6K opinions shared on Other topic. Nice dogs but I had an idea on my next dog would probably be a Doberman pincher
00 ReplyNope. I don't like vicious breeds of dog.

Jake, Nicco and King I would consider.

You CAN have them all. Just have a big back yard and a ton of food for them. You will have to clean up a lot of doggie doo off the lawn too.

Maybe the German Shepherd.
