I just like a lot of that doomsday fiction and a lot of that end-of-the world fiction (non-religious stuff especially when I type apocalypse I don't mean religious writings, urgh). Whether it's another pandemic, zombies, natural disaster, or a nuclear winter, will the world end this June or July, seemingly for no apparent reason, lol? Maybe a comet? Lol

Lol, funnily enough there actually are people out there in this globe (world) that actually believe in preparing for doomsday or having shelters or having food supplies, the sane ones, not the crazy ones. I'm not a doomsday prepper. 👌

Well I live in tornado alley. We all prep out here to some extent. If the grocery stores are taken out (through destruction or rioting) there's plenty here in dry storage until things get settled out/rebuilt/remodelled. Plus I have two rescue kittens to feed. If you're stuck in a shelter for a while you're going to want to have nummies in there.

So... i used to run large scale surveys for the government. This one is poorly designed. There are no operational definitions.

How long does that last? A week, a century, a million years?

If you ask ten people if this is the final chapter of life, someone can think "well i don't have to pay my credit card now" and somebody else can think "well we only have at most 100 years to build that space shuttle" and the data reports an inaccurate picture because there is NOT some shared impending apocalyptic expectation of the majority of people.

Maybe "end times" is the second half of the lifespan of the sun. So we're at 4.5 billion years... if the expectancy is 9 billion, one could argue that in one more day we are in fact in "the end times."

Make sense? It's a nothing burger.
