Just curious: when will the world end?

I’m afraid of how many might think its soon.

Examples of non-anthropogenic risks are an asteroid impact event, a supervolcanic eruption, a lethal gamma-ray burst, a geomagnetic storm destroying electronic equipment, natural long-term climate change, hostile extraterrestrial life, or the predictable Sun transforming into a red giant star engulfing the Earth. The last one is un avoidable in any way, but it'll be over 4 billion years before that catastrophe. The most likely event that will destroy human existence is much closer if we can't stop the industrial contamination that is absolutely proven to be destroying the habitability of the planet.

That depends on what exactly you mean by “the end of the world”. The end of society as we know it? I’m guessing not less than 10 but not more than 20 years.
The end of a habitable world for human beings? Centuries; we are remarkably more adaptable than we give ourselves credit for. But there are looming cataclysmic events that can’t be accurately predicted yet. Most of which could easily wipe out most of mankind.
The complete annihilation of the planet? There are some interesting theories that suggest that could happen sooner than we think, but still centuries away.

Before 2100 most likely, most western countries will probably collapse before that happens but I'm not sure. I've heard the number being closer to 2060 and 2040 being the beginning of it. Argentina, Colombia, and Ecuador seems to be heading in a Similar direction sooner than that. 2040 sounds like a more appropriate estimate for countries like Canada and England. I don't think humans will be wiped out or anything but I do think most people who are alive in the periods in between and before 2100 won't survive it. If we're not wiped out completely by disease or something similar, I have hope.

Probably in a few billion years. As the sun evolves, it'll expand to become a red giant star and fry our planet to a cinder. Earth will become a scorched, lifeless rock — stripped of its atmosphere, its oceans boiled off.

I think it’s 5 billion years when the sun super novas. I can’t remember if we’re close enough that we would be swallowed by the sun but we will at least feel the blast. Course who knows our world may not end and we become a rouge planet doomed to Rome the heavens forever.

The planet Earth might survive without us, humans but I think we won't be here for long. Judging by everything that is going on humans might not make it until the end of this century.

I suppose that you mean the end of mankind's existence.

My feeling: it will be gradually getting uglier for the next 100 or so years. But enough will be left over to carry on another few thousand years; unless we're all called off from outside.

Life on earth will go on for a few billion years, hntill the sun goes supernova. I doubt the human race will last a million years, even if we did, we'd evolve away from what we know humans to be.

Its all coming to an end soon. Wait for the muslim world to start aggressing. Wait for russia and iran to really start aggressing. Nukes are going to fly. Wait for africa to start starving.
