Will the world end in our lifetime?

Question

We've all heard about it. The end of the world. It has been predicted many times. It's not top of my list of fun things to experience in a day but what do you think? Will the world end in our lifetime? Why? Nuclear war? Meteor? Super volcano? Aliens? Cow farts? Zombies? Disease? Are there parallel earths and realities so it doesn't matter if one blows up or not? Or is everything just fine? Does anyone really care or is it all one big joke, fun to make while sitting behind computer screens?

All I know is this. Is our government is people that we have elected?
 That gets tons of money to be re-elected by secret societies, there's 16 of them, they've been around for hundreds and hundreds of years, and with that money to re-elect them. They buy the public official All sixteen of them secret societies have an agenda , the way they want the world ran Think about everything that's going on. There's no reason in this world for prices to be as high as they are not unless they want to get rid of people The middle class is the one that support that make the government all this money. And they just spend it left and right and honestly think about what they're doing with the money , they're burning it Look at each President on the things that they do for the little people. Nothing because they can't because they are , but There's no reason why every single one of us are not millionaires 2 years ago.  2 and a 1/2 was a wage.  Increase a big one. People started buying homes cars. Things that they wanted got the economy booming even more, but they can't have that. So then they raised prices and the kept raising prices and capitalizing prices. Because they don't want us to know what they know We're more than human beingames we are spiritual games. We are smart. The energy that we carry in our bodies is magical and if people would understand this and what they can actually do with it would blow you away. Hear all this new stuff about manifesting coming out. They've been doing it for years. If you meditate and get your frequency lined up with the energy around this planet, you can do, you can have anything you want. And if we were all to know this and we all came together, that's what those rich people don't want, because we would take our planet back, even other countries are wars, it's all about money. And guess who's making the money the politicians from every country they're holding all of us back hostage. And that's what they want to keep doing You thought COVID was a fiasco watch what happens with this Atlantis or whatever it's called, I would almost guarantee that it's fake, but they're gonna hype it up, it probably has something to do with Trump wanting to remain the king of the world. But if we the people do not wake up. Are kids are gonna be so f*****Their kids are gonna be f*****You're gonna be slaves Look at musk, he has a chip for God's sake, that is pretty and kids brains. You know why they say to make them feel i'm an empath i can see and feel things ten times deeper than most people But here's the truth. We all have this ability. I can touch you right? Where you're standing at right now and you can do the same from right? Where you're standing to. We should have the best sex ever through energy, right? Where you're standing In order to do this, you have to understand energy. We were all born with it. We are all meant to do this. We should be speaking telepathically already, but we're so far held back by lies to keep us from knowing the truth. We really are If you ever became one with somebody, I mean totally 1 with them. And then go into an out of body experience. It is so spiritual, it will change your life how you love, how you see how you feel, how you think. This is, what they don't want us to know. We can all do it. We were all born with this gift

Eventually the Sun expands to swallow the earth but before then plate tectonics stop and gradually all the land erodes away with no mountains left.

That won't happen in our life time but we came close to it ending in a few generations. Because CO2 in the atmosphere was in gradual decline and was looking like it would become so low plant life could no longer be sustained.

Below 150 ppm plants can no longer photo synthesize and they die. Before the industrial revolution it had fallen way down and even got as low as 180 ppm. We ran pretty close to a dead planet.

No plants means no higher life forms including us. No grass, no beef. No wheat. Life depends on plants.

Fortunately we discovered coal and petroleum together with steam engines and motor cars and saved the planet. Currently with a 400+ ppm of CO2 we now have a healthy safety margin for plant life.

Plants are bouncing back and earth is greening according to CSIRO. There has been an increase of vegetated land area of 18 million square kilometres or about 2.5 Australias.

We can all be very happy that we have saved the planet and done our bit to saving plants whilst driving to work.

According to my dad there is a list of things that every generation believes, that always turn out to not be true and one of them is that the world will end in that generation’s lifetime. I guess one day it will be true! But so far it has not been.

I'm 70 years old and there have been people preaching that since I was born (and way before that I'm sure, most likely since humans came into existence). It's more like a religion than science although there are plenty of these doom predictors operating in the science religion who think they know something that they obviously don't.

The answer is that no one knows when the world will end. The only positive thing about thinking about it is that it's a reminder to make the best of every day you have.

Potentially. With the progression of AI, and technology improving at the rate it is, and becoming more and more accessible, who's to say someone rich and psychotic won't just build some nukes or some kind of biological weapon and send them out everywhere in the world?

Have you seen military drone technology? They can kill you easily and there's no way to run from them unless you have an EMP on hand somehow.

And a lot of the technology being developed now really seems to cross the boundary of what can be considered morally right.

I feel it will. National governments are too subservient to capital, and world leaders refuse to work together. In a different world, we wouldn't be talking about greenhouse effect CO2 accelerated climate change because we'd already fixed it by 2020... We keep failing and postponing targets; first it was 2020, then 2030, now the EU has 2045 as its next target year, and emissions are only increasing...

Sustainable development seems the more utopian the more time progresses. Much of Africa is ravaged by either terrorist insurgency or ehtnic wars. Narco-cartels in Latin America. The erosion of the welfare state in Europe.

No, I don't think so. There will be ups and downs throughout the future as there always have been in history; eventually we will have a series of great catastrophes - sooner or later we will have another pandemic that will wipe out millions (covid -19 was a minor cold compared to Black Plague or Spanish Flu), or there will be some series of massive volcanic eruptions, a nuclear war, or maybe we get hit with a giant space rock. Who the fuck knows? Anyhow, it will be catastrophic no doubt but it will not be "the end of the world" , society will rebuild , people will get busy making babies, and life moves along as it has done for millions of years.

That being said - there is evidence that our planet has gone through six (?) major extinction events, so who knows?

A certain fact is the world will end, another is humanity will end we all know this to be true in someway it will happen. So because we know this, we know everyday that goes past is closer than not. Though the odds of dying by something else is astronomically higher so... if we're betting no? No, it won’t. Every generation thinks the world will end with them and… ta da… it doesn’t. We have a some billions of years left but not all of that is life sustaining. But major changes coming even in 250 to 300 million years when a new super continent is formed and there are huge die offs of species. We will all be long dead by then.
