I haven't tried to shave one side and doubt i would but in HS and college, I used to brush one side back smoothly and pin it under, and i’d wear my hair down on the other side. So it still looked just like hers in the top two pics. My hair waves up like hers on the side when wet, so i kinda wouldn't need to shave

I did that back in 80s when I was getting first degree. Fade, shaved in lines etc... It's fancy, but a lot of maintenance. Have to keep putting in new lines.. But that might be the fun of it. I only did it for awhile. "Fashion, turn to the right, fashion, turn to the left!!!" David Bowie, I believe.

I've not shaved my head, but I've been wearing short hair since grammar school. I'm an outdoors woman: always in my garden, bike riding, and in the heat, I sweat like nobody's business.

So, at least for summer, and actually most of the rest of the time, I keep it short so maintenance is minimal. I change it up to keep it stylish and let it get a bit longer from time to time. But short is my go-to. It's easy.

If I want to fling hair around, I'll buy a wig!

Nope. Wouldn't work for me. Too much trouble. I wash my hair every day when I take a bath. Feels wonderful. WIth extra hair, that would become a chore. I like how I have it. Convenient. Easy.

Plus I work in an unairconditioned building where I sweat like crazy four days a week and I need to take two baths a day. It's mid 90s here middle of day. WHen I come home, my clothes are soaked. And I have to sweep, dust, create good looking displays. So I sweat more. A lot of water goes through my body. At least it's efficient!

Also, to look like you care about your look. You aren't rocking 1960, unless it's a classic. Some women have a hairstyle they haven't updated or changed for 25 years. Pick up a magazine. Look at styles online. Look like you care about how you present yourself.

Especially in our community. There’s this mentality of empowerment when someone has extremely short blonde hair. It looks doofy doofy and no one can change my mind otherwise.
I’ve seen girl with beautiful locs cut their hair cause the internet told them to do so and they have heads that mimic a naked egg.

No, definitely not. I love my medium length hair. I’m trying to grow it out lol. I don’t think I can rock short hair. I did, until I was about 10, but I like how long hair looks on me. I’m still regretting cutting my hair 2 years ago, lol.

Bruce is from Hong Kong. I’ve also seen a picture of an Uzbek who looks a lot like Bruce. Many short-haired Asians are pretty, if not beautiful. Beauty comes from within.

No, I don't think I could ever have very short hair. My hair currently brushes the top of my ribs and I like it at my current length or longer. I like styling and braiding my hair, and I feel like it looks much better long. I also like to keep my hair long because it's more feminine and flattering.
