I would not press the button immediately. I might later on, but not now.
I'd look it over very carefully without touching it, nor would I even allow the amount of light being shone upon it to be allowed to change, other than the natural progression of daylight in the room. A guy can't be too careful, you know.
I would then proceed to use all of my powers of deduction to ascertain its purpose.
The results of my investigations would then determine my course of action. NOT!
Of course I'm pressing the dang button!
