I constantly have to battle with a side of me that thinks it understands the futility of everything. And he will come at me from out of the fukin woodworks with every weapon he can. Had me dodging punches more than once. Which I was never good at. Another time he even tried to fukin hang me. Then told me he was just playing around... 💀 practicing... like I legit saw another fukin dimension fuk u mean by "I was just testing things out"
He likes to blame his perspective of the world on his current issues & past traumas. But I can't help but think that he's got a lot more strength than he realizes. It's really hard to convince him of that though. Especially with the nature of reality being so unforgiving. But even when I feel down, I still prefer to problem solve the best I can... Until he takes over & thinks the solution to every problem is to just give up & cease to be..
This guy is a trip. Kinda wish he'd die so I can just be a naïve optimist. But yeah yeah yeah, that ain't the nature of reality either...

+1 yDue to circumstances, it was telling someone I love, who also loves me, that the only gift I could really give her; the only way for me to guarantee her happiness, for her to be free and happy, was for me to leave her life. The incredible pain inside was and remains unbearable. It literally felt as if I laid my life down for her except, only here, it was worse than death because, while I am now dead to her, I can still feel her heart beating in mine. I am still alive.
So in the end, when it told her those three words, I love you, she knew I meant it.

Cutting out family who were abusive and having family members of that group who Were kind to me say that they miss me and I could clearly hear the sadness in their voice as they said it. But there is no going back and they are still going to stay there.
And then there is... Dragon slayer armor on Darksouls 3. That boss made me so angry! I had this big whopper of a mace that carried me through most of it until I met that guy. It made me question my whole build. That I leveled the wrong weapon. I tried other weapons and he kept squashing me all the same. Eventually I beat him with the trusty Mace, but I was ANGRY.
I did a rerun on that game, went through the DLC to fight the final boss, grab his weapon only to return to that Dragon Slayer Armor boss and defeat him with that weapon. It felt great and after the defeat, I uninstalled <327 Reply- +1 y
You went from something so serious to a game boss, only Yanny can create such a twist š
Why would you accomplish all that just to uninstall the game? Sounds like a waste of your time and effort and a perfectly good built lol - +1 y
I gotta admit I was caught up in the gloominess and the sympathy for you was slapping ahrd but then you started talking about a boss level and at that point it just left š
It's good to know your video games keep you in a good mood tho, everyone's first match at any game is ass, it's quite shocking you recorded your first match, not many people have that memory saved for any game lol - +1 y
Oh, isn't that still recording?

Oh well there's many others to relive I guess lol

Then suddenly my father dies just as I was getting to ready for mid term exams. I had to deal with his funeral and try and study for exams. I thought about what my father would be telling me. Don't be a wuss and study and pass the damn tests. So I pushed everything else aside and passed the damn tests.

They can tell when you are walking up to them, but you still need to talk to them, express your deepest sympathies, and explain the process to them.
While it is part of the job, you never get used to it.
It just doesn't get easier, which is probably a good thing.
