The ability to change another person's mind is better than any form of telekinesis. For instance, suppose you felt compelled that someone should be assassinated to make the world a better or safer place. Don't assassinate them! Have them assassinate themselves via suicide!

Depends how potent either is. If the telekinesis only governs what I can lift physically then I'd say it's kind of useless
