Who do you think has the biggest influence on how a young boy will treat a woman when he becomes a man?

I think most will say his father, I will agree, to a point but I realized that my previous girlfriends took a huge part in how to treat a partner. I learned and grew from each relationship. I think my mother probably had the least influence. What are your thoughts?

the father obviously. fathers help to grow their sons into capable men. mothers try to pander, virtue signal and some even force their sons into being good little feminists

sons who follow their mothers are a major cause of the gender wars shitshow. instead of just shaming your sons into just "respecting" women and teaching daughters they should expect to be respected by men but have no obligation to respect men. how about ensure both do what is necessary to garner respect? which means working hard, standing up for yourself/your beliefs, no whoring around and stop being so offended at every single little fact that makes you uncomfortable

I learned more from my mother. She didn’t raise me to just put women on a pedestal and get walked over. She taught me to see what to see in a good woman. Although there have been times I didn’t listen. She taught me how to treat a woman and how a woman should treat me.

I've found in my experience that guys that have been in a few relationships, have friends that are women and who have sisters normally are better treating women. They empathize better with women.

Thank you! Not that I don't agree with the others but I personally feel my previous girlfriends had as big an influence on my treatment of women as my father did. With each relationship I learned something. I always say, that the person I am today has a lot to do with those women.

True. A good male role model that shows respect for women and empathy can absolutely help but going to the source is always better.

I also think they each influence you in different ways. Like you say, my dad taught me to respect women and never be cruel and physical with someone you love. But girlfriends taught me more about how a woman likes to be treated. There is a difference.

I definitely agree about a mother having very little influence. If anything, they confuse a boy. One day it's, "why don't you bring me flowers"? The next day it's, "why do you waste money on flowers? They're just gonna die".

Well, my wife compares my skills as a father to my father. She's never compared me as a husband. I think my biggest influence was Al Bundy.

I agree. The father has the greatest influence, by far. But men also learn how to treat women through interactions with women in their lives.
