I bought a fairly expensive electric bass guitar lately with the intention of learning to play it. I can play six-string electric guitar, but I've never tried bass before. I should have tried one before I bought it, as it turns out I cannot play it after months of trying, and even lessons didn't really help.
So I now have to either sell it or give it away or let it sit and gather dust.
I think I will just give it to a friend and be finished with it.
Have you ever done anything like this?
I have a dozen pair of shoes I have only wore in the store to try on and once or twice at home to show my husband or take a photo of on my foot.

Yeah, I've just bought some iems that have the best treble I've ever heard in a earphone, headphone, or earbud. But they don't fit in my ears well enough. 💀 I'm returning them because they're just not very practical to have in. The slightest movement makes them slide out of my ear canal.
You and I often disagree, but WTF. When I was a teen and heard Guitar Heroes play and do things that were almost impossible, I just knew that I could do it too. That the music would just flow out of my hands into my Chinese-made knock-off Strat. I could feel it with my soul. I would listen to the Greats and play air-guitar along with them. I would "sing" to my "playing" like Jimi Hendrix did when he performed, almost telling his hands and the guitar what to do next.
I practiced a lot but only the most rudimentary improvement happened. There is such a thing as having talent, which The Creator gave you. I see preteens and even young East Asian girls on YouTube who can't even speak English end up playing like Jimmy Page. They barely practiced. It was just inside them. I consider this outcome as a major life disappointment. I still have an acoustic guitar in the closet, taunting me.
However,I was a set-up guy for a moderately successful Country garage band. I would sing along while they would play. That's when I realized their singing was amateurish and I could sing like a canary. Not only could I sing, but could add a local accent after listening to the original music. I would stand an sing lead and hold a guitar, strumming in the melody chords. Sometimes yah have to listen to where your talent comes from.
Well i found this website names symteen and I ordered some trial products they are samples of all sorts and yeah some of the things that came in as free gift I can't use them coz they are like female body lotion and all but I guess I will still use it I mean the lotion won't know that I am a guy
I had new windows put in my family room. I ordered mini blinds for it. The contractor ordered the wrong size windows and he had to replace the trim. The windows were too big for the mini blinds so I will have to order new ones. If anyone can use 3 sets of mini blinds that are 58 inches wide DM me.
Bought new wheels for a car one time. An ex of mine borrowed my car to hook up with a guy she was cheating with while I was at work. I told the Police she stole my car. Technically she did because we exchanged texts where I told her not to take it and waste my gas. Was a complete write off. She thought my insurance was going to pay her hospital bills and the other guy's too. Dumped her stuff out on the curb too. Apperently I'm heartless. I miss that car, not her.
No, but I give things away and then find out later that I needed it. It's like keeping something because you might need it one day, and then when that time comes you can't find it so have to buy another anyway.
Yeah, not quite the same but I bought what I thought was a GPS on Amazon but it turns out it was just a route finder and didn't speak out load the turns like a real GPS. I should have known it was too good to be true with how cheap it was. As it turns out my iphone provides an okay GPS app and then there is the google maps app which also has a speak out loud function.
I tend to buy only the essentials. I grew up in a minimalist type household and have kept it that way. I tend to buy good quality so I don't have to replace it often.
I suck at spending money. LOL
yes , like books I've never read
also i bought a guitar like 5 years ago and still procrastinating to learn on it
In the Lobby of My Suite, Is a Shelf That I Ordered But Cannot Use it Now. lolxxoo
I heard bass was easier than regular guitar
I’ve bought books for games I don’t play just to read them sometimes, but I don’t consider them useless as I get pleasure out of reading them
No, I use everything.
I tendvto be kind of cheap/thrifty so I think about things before I buy them.
I buy things often that I can't use, so years go by, then I end up throwing them out.
Yeah, I bought some lush body washes recently without thinking then looked at the ingredients out of curiosity and I can't use them 🥲 they smell so good though
Oh yeah, I have bought all kinds of crap down through the years.
Yes, I once bought a dildo and then realized it was way too big. It sucked.
Never that just wasteful.
