There are times where you have to express your feelings and there are times where you have to resist your feelings. In high school, I was many times, too depressed to do home work but I did not want to fail or starve to death so I ignored my boredom and went to class and did my home work on time.

On the other hand, there are times where I will avoid doing something cause I feel weird about it, like rejecting a guy I like when he invites me for a date. I think that is a time you should listen to your feelings and gut instinct.
