I must admit, this is one series I didn't watch that many episodes of. I remember Mayim Bialick starred in a TV series called Blossum. She was actually pretty smart.

Yeah it's not that hard to fake but I think it's close to impossible to fool the whole world without somebody finding out or with everyone maintaining the secrecy

It is said that somehow they will fake an alien invasion and everyone will believe it is real. If you don't think it can be done, just check out Orson Wells radio fake on the invasion from Mars.

Some of the astronauts refused to discuss what they saw on the moon. When someone noticed structures on the dark side in NASA photos the photos were airbrushed to look like natural formations.

No, faking stuff would completely discredit them and they would lose their funding. Data from NASA is analysed by top scientists who would quickly pick up on anything that was "fake".
