What kind of dog/dogs do you have and do they guard the home against people?

Had a pure red rottweiler. We adopted her, best decision we ever made. Did she guard our home. We never trained her to be a guard dog, so I would say in a way no she wasn't a guard dog, but if anyone did try and attack us she stepped in.

Our smaller dog you could pick up with one hand which we never knew exactly what type of breed she was as we had also adopted her was more of a guard dog than the rottweiler. Someone one time tried to get into our backyard and she bit him. I had to pull her off the guy to get her to stop.

We have 4 on the property. 2 poorly bred dogs; a mutt and a German shepherd and the wellbred purebreds are Kengals. They’re a tall livestock guardian breed and very aloof with strangers. Anyone coming onto the property has to have a code to get through the gates.

I had a purebred havawart up until 2 years ago. He definitely protected us and our property. He didn't like anything on our property. He killed several raccoons and gophers that were living under our shed. He didn't draw any blood though. He just shook them and snapped their neck
