Depends what I am driving.
If its my car i just drive it because it isn't a bag of shit.
But if you can literally hear every drop of rain hitting the roof and you have to keep checking to make sure you aren't inexplicably timesliding (whatever that is) through the verse in an old shed with a tin roof then you should probably limit the amount of time you spend trying to dial into the only radio station your wire coat hanger ariel will recieve to a minimum, it's almost certainly going to be French anyway and it doesn't matter than you can't understand it because it's shit.
As for me I take my time for the most part & try to steer clear of the other ass clowns on the highway & try not to hydroplane & always keep my eyes on the road ahead.
My country invented rain so I've had tons of practice driving in everything from light drizzle to near horizontal torrential downpours both day and night.
I don't find the rain an issue but at night it makes other drivers lights much worse. I know you should slow down in the wet but everyone acts like they're trying to get out of the rain.
I drive the same in the rain but I get very cautious around other drivers. They are the ones that scare me... not the rain 😆

We have been getting a lot of rain this summer so i drive how I normally do on routes i know. Now im cautious around muscle cars because they tend to struggle with control on wet surfaces. And i avoid driving behind and besides big rigs because of the amount of water being sprayed off them. I will speed up and pass these vehicles to avoid further issues. My car is low as it is so i am also cautious when it comes to dips and potholes. But other than that when your used to winter driving, the rain doesn't change all that much
Really good question unlike majority of them here. I personally become much more aware and i drive at much slower speed, not too slow to be pulled over for it but approximately half the speed limit. All it takes is 1 wrong move or bad road or someone gets in front of you car for you or someone else to end up dead. Better go slower to have better chance of good reaction and easier control if something does happen
Very carefully, as your stopping distance increases and visibility may be poor. There has been more than a few chain reaction accidents in pouring rain.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/sCoLd3HrErkVery carefully. I once hydroplaned on a ramp in the rain, and the tire rim was ruined as it hit the curb. I slow down and use more precaution, but I'm always careful. In the rain I am always watching out for the clowns that like to speed in the rain.
more cautious, sometimes reduce speed or pull over when it gets too hard to see
Oh Shit! I bet that driver has brown underwear now!
@Static_In_The_Attic always a few in the crowd gotta drive like fools in bad weather
Where I live if there is a slight drizzle the accidents start & if it’s really raining all hell breaks loose. I love when people tailgate other people & when they do boom!
@Static_In_The_Attic i got tboned and flipped a few months ago almost killed so im even more cautious not for myself but due to other peoples insanity on the road
It saddens me to hear about your accident a few months ago & if it were within my power to take away your pain I absolutely would. Are you ok?
The person in that car was @mandyfire98. She forgot something and had to go back. Lmao 🤣 🤣
I tend to use the Rain-X stuff, it works great. I can often drive without the windshield wipers going as it just beads off the windshield. It allows me to drive similar to drier conditions as my view is not impaired.
If you love the rain it will respect you and not rain on your parade. You won't even need wipers. So I love a rainy night.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/W_6QFH-CEQMI'm very cautious when it's comes to driving in the rain, I've nearly crashed all my 3 of my cars. Aquaplaning is really really dangerous so in light rain I drive at 70mph on the motorways A B roads, but when it's absolutely pouring down with rain I do 50 - 60mph
More cautious, watching out for the other idiots.
After a lifetime of taking care of those that aren't very good on the road, wet or dry I tend to slow down more.
What will that extra 3 to 6 minutes bring you?
If just rain! I drive normal, i know how my reflexes are. Heavy rain, i try to avoid the water lines on the road, we have these in Sweden, a go a little bit slower for safty, window whipers full speed and watch for other driver that are extra careful, they can drive 70km ph on a 120km ph way and that is dangerous
I’d probably go just A WEE bit faster than a snail crawling through molasses. No way I’m wasting one of my 9 lives to stupid driving like an 11 year old being forced to drive a woman in labor to the hospital.
I am a very cautious driver anyway and when it rains, i am super conscious that the 2 second rule becomes a 4 second rule; and I adhere to it.
I fucking hate bad drivers who do not know the ABC of driving rules and good practices.
... Carefully and even Better in Snow So you Know. lolxxoo
generally create more space between me and others.
It doesn't rain much around here, so it is rarely an issue.
Faster and stop harder, lol , actually I increase my stopping distance and speed depending how much rain it is and stay away from the low side of the road so I won’t go into puddles and hydroplane
Put on the wipers and go. Maybe a little more cautious but I feel i'm relatively safe driver usually so don't change much.
I just go until I hydroplane and then let that take me the rest of the way. It saves on gas.
You are such a badass 😂
I try
Jesus take the wheel 🎶
Jesus had nothing on me. I'll eat a sandwich while I do it.
Even more of a badass haha you continue to impress
I drive like my dad built the road. As long as my wipers are doing their job, I gotta get places.
I’m from California so that should give you an answer 😭
i’m up in norcal and we get tons of rain and snow 😂
@dolemite58 I’m by Palm Springs so rain is foreign 💀
When it's not raining I drive like an ass. When it's raining I drive very cautiously. I have a rear wheel drive truck and it will get sideways real quick in the rain.
drive a bit slower and don’t go too fast through areas where the water is collecting too much and u should be fine
the bit of rain at start of rain despite shallow is most slippery and slick.
I drive the same unless I'm in the middle of a hurricane or something of that caliber. In that event, you have to slow down due to reduced visibility, wind buffeting, hydroplaning, and crazy traffic situations and debris.
I extend the following distance and I slowly apply the brakes sooner. I have my headlights and wipers on.
Slower, but I choose a rain-appropriate playlist to listen to way too loudly.
i drive how i always drive. i'm always cautious because i think everyone is an absolute moron.
Same as in the not rain but a bit more cautious.
I'm more cautious. To many stupid people hydroplaning.
I lean towards being more cautious in the rain. You have to allow for more braking room because you don't want to risk spinning out if you have to stop suddenly.
Slow down here in Texas they made a law they can reduce speeds
Last year I saw to pickups and a 18 where's going 75. Yes 75 the speed like but not on 5 inches of ice
I'm slower and leave bigger gaps between me and the car in front. I'm British so driving in rain is sort of a must XD
A south Florida so reís is pretty much every day. Just basic stuff. Greater following distance, drive a little slower, low beams if needed etc etc
The same as normal, except it's more annoying.
Pretty much the same. Now snow and ice is another matter. In fact people are so stupid I'd rather just stay home.
I avoid sudden braking or jerking the steering wheel because tyres don't grip so well in the wet. I would know! But that is how I drive anyway. Be gentle with your car and it will repay you with long service.
Yes, I drive the same as I would with any other weather. It’s just water it’s not like it’s oil or something 🤷♂️
I never drive past what I can see. If it is raining so hard the wipers can't keep up I might add low down
Yes more cautiously of course
Before I quit smoking, I would probably have a stogie and some good songs too
I drive slower than usual. I keep my distance from other cars. And I'm extremely cautious. The roads where I live are very poorly engineered. A little bit of extra speed can be a real problem.
I tend to drive the same, but very cautiously,
I drive just about the same. I'm more cautious when there are others. I trust myself, but not the others around me.
I drive 20 mph under the speed limit and slam on my brakes the second someone gets behind me.
I drive my tortoise- mobile as fast as possible and drift corners in the rain :)
More carefully
Just slow down
I drive much much slower in the rain.
Cautiously and with the lights on.
Usually I slow down & use more caution.
Safely and carefully of course
Carefully
And not as fast
Same as normal with a bit more caution.
I’m more cautious
Slower and more space around me.
Fast and Furious
What do you think? B
I just don't. Pull over and wait it out.
Cautiously.
usually at top speed, because Family!
