What is something you are now embarrassed about saying, because you were nervous?

I have felt this way, too many times, to or around someone I care about. Then, in my mind, I'm like, 'ahhhh'...

About 3 months ago, I stepped out front and saw lights on in the garage house across the street and the garage door was wide open whereas, normally,. she keeps it closed. I was concerned that someone might've broken into her garage so, I went over and rang the bell to ask if she was okay. She answered the door, I asked, she said she was okay and, in trying to explain why I asked, instead of saying anything, for some reason, I just gestured a couple times with my hands, as if to say, I came over to check on you because your garage door was open." but, nothing would come out of my mouth to help me explain those gestures! I knew what I was trying to convey to her but, I seriously doubt she did!

Sure would make me feel comfortable, someone asking if I was okay. hopefully when you see her again, you may be able to tell her.

She's kinda cute and pretty but, I have no intention of making a move on her. I'm just being neighborly.
Another woman lives across the street from us both. Turns out she used to live a block down the street from me when I was still at MY house! About a year ago, maybe it was very early this year, apparently, she had some kind of brain trauma. From where I'm sitting right now, I can look out my window and see her house. Well, her bathroom is right next to her front door but, the only time I can see the light on in there is at night. Most often, after midnight or so, all her lights are out. Well, one night, I'm just sitting here at the computer and I see her bathroom light on and, at first, thought nothing of it. A few hours later,. it was still on! Okay, KINDA odd but, maybe she's got a reason. The next night, I spot that light on again! And again, it's on all night long! Next night, same thing! Well, now, I'm starting to get a tad concerned. I think it was one more night that happened and now I'm starting to get even more concerned. The next day, I wake up and see cops and an ambulance in front of her place! I go out to talk to one of the cops and they tell me she had some kind of brain trauma but, of course, they wouldn't say what it was. They DID tell me that they found her on the floor in the bathroom! I thought it might be helpful if they knew that her light was on in the bathroom for at least 3 days, indicating, she'd been like they found her all that time. Had they not already been there, I was gonna call them, myself!
She was in the hospital for nearly 2 months. When she came back, she was bald.
Even though we used to be neighbors, in the 3 years I've been here, we've only talked once and that was right after I got here. She's got some kind of bug up her fat ass about me and I have no idea what it is! I've never said or done anything negative to her.

Well, about 3 months ago, again, I saw her bathroom light on all night long! At least 2 days in a row!! Third night I saw it on, I decided to call the cops and have them check up on her, maybe she's had a relapse! They showed up about 5:00 later and checked up on her and everything was okay. We might not talk, we might not be friends of any kind but, she's a human being and, if something bad happens to her, I'll try to help, if I can. I know what it's like to need help badly and have none arrive! In `84, some asshole hit me from behind with his car and left me for dead on the side of the road! He fractured my leg and took a huge chunk of skin out of my elbow! Thankfully, the ER was only half a block behind me but, I needed help getting there so, I stepped to the side of the road to flag someone down for help, everybody ignored me!! So, I went ONTO the street! Everybody drove around me! Then I stood right in the middle of the street and, again, everyone drove the fuck around me!! had to hobble up to the ER (it was at least one story above ground level and all the grass on the hillside around it was wet!!

This is kind of embarrassing but when I see female look at me at the store, on the street staring at me real mean I'm thinking to myself wow what did I do, and I feel my face flush, I get so nervous I just don't say or do anything. I will go into panic mode for sure.
