German Castles or McDonalds in the US, which is More?

Here's an interesting Trivia question?

Are there more Castles in Germany or more McDonalds in the United States?

Don't think too hard, it's a simple question.

According to reputable sources...

Germany has approximately 25,000 castles, while the United States has just over 14,000 McDonald's locations. That means that, on average, Germany has one castle for every 600 people, while the United States has one McDonald's for every 30,000 people. In other words, you're more than 50 times more likely to stumble upon a castle in Germany than you are to find a McDonald's in the United States.

I know from school that Germany has a lot of castles but I understand MacDonald has an aim that no one should be more than 10 minutes from one.

The thing about castle counting is countries tend to be flexible on the definition so I'm going with Germany.

Yeah the definition is a huge problem. Maybe not on the mcdonalds side but some towers, ruins may count or may not count.

Ruins always count but I know a few listed castles that are nothing more than a hill where one once stood. For example st clears castle .

I guess we have more castles depending what counts. Near the rhine there is a castle-tower every 100meter on each side. if they count we have much more more. If only the big ones count I dont know guess than its mcdonalds.

I just wonder how many White Castles there are in Germany. I think that's an important question to answer as an American who might travel there...

I'm guessing but I think I heard that there were almost twice as many castles in Germany as there are McDonalds in the USA.

I'd say McDonald's. But it probably depends on how you define castle. Some places are called castles, but are not what I'd call a castle. Also, castle counters tend to count castles that don't even exist any more. They have crumbled to dust ages ago.

I'm saying there are more German Castles, mainly because you'd expect more of the white Castles in the US, and normally the answer to these kind of questions is the opposite of what most people would think.

Germany has a lot of castles, but I am going with McDonald's in the US because there seems to be a McDonald's on pretty much every street in the country. McDonald's is almost as prevalent as Starbucks Coffee shops, not quite but almost.
