If so, how do you cope with it?
It freaks me out. I do it. I will fly. And if it's pretty smooth, I do okay. Though I'm always moderately anxious.
But just a few days ago I was on a fairly rough flight and I forgot just how horrifying it is. Yet so many people seemed unphased.
Like logically I know that flying is safe. But it still doesn't stop it from being scary 🥲

I fly for a living and encounter fearful passengers all the time. Fear of the unknown and loss of control (you no longer feel in control) is quite normal. Turbulence is usually the biggest fear. Hey I understand. I have been flying for decades yet still hate turbulence and trust me I have experienced some wild rides. But turbulence is no mystery and the reasons for it are easy to explain. Pilots usually avoid areas of significant turbulence. Also I do not know of 1 accident in commercial aviation that turbulence was the primary cause. When I am on a flight in really rough air I just relax myself, breathe deep and visualize being on a rough, pot holed, gravel road in an old pickup truck... that pickup truck can handle it and the airplane is 10 times stronger so what do I have to worry about?
I am not but I hate airports
No I like it
