What should I do if I become pregnant?

I don't think the plan b pill worked. I'm scared. What should I do?

For context, I can't afford the child with my salary. I also don't think the father would want it.

I also don't think I can afford an abortion right now with what I get back and even if I went half with the father I think I would still be short some.

you are assuming your partner's thoughts/feelings without even telling him or asking him. which is not the right thing to do, at all.

as for your situation, you do what you feel is best. i can't tell you what to do with your body. i personally would never get an abortion, but that's just me.

i get it, but if you can't afford potentially bringing a life into this world, then you have to be more and more careful with sex because these things do happen, no matter how much you prepare or the precautions you take.

on another final note, only start worrying if you are actually pregnant. you don't even know yet. take care!

That's true. I shouldn't assume. I'm of two minds on the issue. While I would want to keep the baby, I don't think I could afford a baby right now. I just have to be way more careful if it turns out I'm not pregnant. I'll stop worrying for now and just hope and pray I'm not.

Consult with him. If you can't afford to raise a child and don't want to murder it, there are choices. Adoption, his raising the child and paying you maternity expenses and 18 years of child support. A court compelled DNA test will resolve that.

I'm both Christian and Libertarian. I would suggest carrying the baby to term and letting it go to adoption. However, a test can reveal development problems which could change an abortion decision.

Talk with your partner. Some men may act like they do not want children, but the moment they become a father are beyond happy.
Nothing personal, but you are surely aware of the age restrictions for a woman to become pregnant. I know married women who missed their window to become pregnant and raise a family.

That depends entirely on your situation. If you want a kid and can afford to take care of it, keep it. If you don't want it or want it but can't afford it, either abort or have it and put it up for adoption. If your Dr. says it'll potentially kill you, either abort and take the risk knowing that you might be giving up your life for its.
