If another woman slapped me first (and very hard), why would she get surprised I punched her?

This was someone I didn't want to have any beef. She actually caught me off guard. She turned me around and slapped me hard enough for my face to get red. In return, I punched her, making her lose her balance.

This was her response afterwards:

You just hit me with a closed fist, you dyke, ******* biotch.

So I'm a dyke for not responding the way she wanted? In this era where this isn't new anymore (several of us can already punch), why was she surprised?

That statement reminds me of the time that a girl at my stepdaughters school was going to stream kicking my stepdaughters ass to embarass her / instead she streamed her own ass getting kicked , one good proper punch goes a long way it was worth finding her a diffrent school to go to because no matter how bad ass someone thinks they are they can still get knocked the fu#$ out im not trying to say do what she did but bullying is straight bull shit

A fight is a fight and since she attacked me unprovoked, she should've been prepared to take what she just dished out.

Yeah what was bullshit was when then started tussing around they fell to ground and my step daughter landed on top so she punched her a few times till someone pulled her of and then the girl got up and was still wanting to fight and my daughter got permenantly expelled the cop said once she landed on top of the girl she was the instagater so instead of it being a race war or whatever they expelled my step daughter i was glad to get her out of that school she had been telling me a week before it happened that she was being singled out and way back when i went to that school the same thing happened to me i guess the guy thought i was a push over or something so I simply earned my respect and respect is what i got rumor was going around school that this dude wanted to fight me i got sick of hearing it so i was like tell the dude im right here and im not planning on going anywhere lol good times

- Say anything you want to, I can handle words. I can still negotiate. But hit me first and there is no negotiating anymore; I'm going to return the favor.

As long as it's just words, I tend to walk away and leave them alone. I won't do nothing not even if someone talks about my mother. I'm ok with words. It's once someone gets physical with me, the game is on.

yeah I mean what on earth did she expect? She took me by surprise by turning me around from behind and slapping me that hard. It did stung and my face turned around a bit.
It took me some seconds to recover but afterwards I smiled and was like ''oh really, seriously'' and I punched her right there. Some of us don't do the slapping around and rolling on the ground BS anymore.
