Are Thotty pictures that bad?

Okay so Im a 17 year old girl turning 18 in a few weeks. Since I turned a teen I suffered bullying, criticism about my physical, which affected me a lot. I even stopped taking pics for like a YEAR cause I went through a depression and low self esteem. When I turned 16 I decided to be active on social media post pictures but my pictures where really umm a little showing. I didn't saw it as bad since I've seen other girls my age and even influencers taking half naked pictures or sensual pics so i was like why not? Im not gonna lie my self esteem kinda went up when I take pictures like that maybe thats the reason why I take a lot of sexy pics, but appart from that i actually enjoy it that i could probably want to be a model.

But because of my pics some of my friends stopped talking to me and even unfriend me and I even had a physical fight with one of my cousins cause she and her sister was talking shi about my pics and even spreading rumors about me sleeping with everyone which of course its not true. My pictures caused me a lot of trouble but i dont understand why all the girls that sexualize themselves dont go from what i went. Is it that bad?

I don’t think they’re bad as long as the person isn’t super young, I’ve taken thirst trap pics before too (tho not overly revealing in my opinion) but I do think if you post pics like that, you kinda have to just acknowledge that some people are gonna think of you as a promiscuous person because people do judge you by how you look and show urself off as. So as long as you don’t mind that/don’t care and are confident in knowing who you are as a person urself, do as you please.

As for some of your friends stopping talking to you either your pics were rlly that revealing or thotty where it made them uncomfortable to associate with you or they were simply weren’t rlly ur friends to begin with. That’s kinda up to you to think about since none of us actually know what the pics were.

That’s not the type of attention you want, honey. You’re young and, right now, you may not see the harm those type of photos can do to your reputation. As you get older, though, you will. Remember, everything post online is permanent, even when you “delete” it. Don’t get jealous of other girls because of the attention they’re getting. When men look at photos like that, they don’t see a person, but an object. Don’t allow people to objectify you. You are a person. A  beautiful  person. Therefore, let your personality shine through. Oh well it’s just that they support their sexualization with a sexualized personality where in your case it would be half incomplete and while you have the sexualised content you might not have the sexualised personality wich would make your pillars fall cuz they don’t correlate with what you’re doung and I get that you might say welm its my choice it shouldn’t matter to others but it does even your personality and that non correlation affects people around you creating more non-correlations, so my take would be to like maybe not keep a public social media for that but instead experiment with different sites online testing your looks and such!!

I used to take shirtless pics back when I was in high school for less than a year before realizing it's not really a desired trait. Although it's a temporary ego boost, you're only seen as vain, you attract the wrong kind of attention, and people respect you much less. If you workout and see yourself in the mirror and know you look good, that should be enough. Save the goods for your partner to see. You'll be respected a lot more. Guys like girls posting semi naked and naked pictures. Doubtless you will get lots of likes and ego boosts from that.

You do need to understand that while is an easy way to get attention people will assume that if you freely expose your body you will freely give use of your body. That is why your cousins and friends are disparaging you. They don't want to be guilty by association.

You are quite young and I understand you were bullied about your appearance and this a way of dealing with it. But you do need to realize at your age you can make bad decision you cannot walk back. I think this one.

Legal age in some states is 16, so posting sexy photos isn't a big deal, although too revealing would definitely send the wrong message about who you are as a person.

It's good that you feel good about your body. It's also good that the photos helped your self esteem.

It's okay to pose and be sexy. Just keep it tasteful, like art, and don't do anything filthy because some people will assume that you are a slut even if you aren't.

And don't worry about guys who say if they saw those photos they would never marry you. You don't want those kind of uptight Puritans anyway.

So these pictures helped your self esteem. Then what happens when you get with guys who only want sex because of these pictures? That's basically what those kind of pictures do. If you advertise something, that's what people expect.

What happens to your self esteem when you realize these guys don't like YOU as a person, they only want your body? You ask, "What about ME? Doesn't anyone care about ME?". What happens to your self esteem then?

I think the world is changing and people are posting more and more revealing pictures at younger and younger ages but in my opinion people should be able to show what they want. But... if you are posting them under 16 you should be very careful because you could cause problems for yourself as there are all kinds of creeps out there and also as you said, you fell out with your friends and stuff, altho I suppose that's just a clash of personality. If I were you I personally wouldn't until I was like 18 but if that's what makes you feel good and stuff then go for it but be prepared for the haters! And respect the law. In 5 years time it might all be different but for now it is still frowned upon for younger people to take revealing photos, as it should be! But yeah. The world is changing. Be safe! And don't let the haters get to you!!

If you look like a slut, most of the time people will peg you as a slut.. Sure it probably gives you self esteem because lots of guys will like those kind of pics, but it might not be the best way to get validation of yourself especially in high school..
Girls are bitches so try not to care what they say.. I was always called ugly by girls who where uglier than me, and no guy has ever called me ugly so.. don't always listen to what mean people say a lot of times they are wrong.

It's not necessarily bad, but there will be consequences. You are painting a picture of yourself and how you see yourself, and people will judge you for it. I lose respect for women who do that. They remove themselves from consideration as a serious partner for many guys, myself included.
