I can speak a few, but the difference in being able to read french and being able to talk it is very different as an example.
I can read Dutch, English, French and German, I can also understand basic Japanese, but English and Dutch are the only languages where I could come across as intellectual rather than stumbling my way through a conversation.
8 languages is amazing, I wish I could pick up languages that quick haha - I'm only properly fluent in English, I can understand and read at maybe a child's level in my mother tongue, and then I remember a bit of basic French and Spanish from school

You will laugh if it tell you how i learned some Spanish words or some basics, well i used to visit a site called "Oranum" it's a site for psychics where you can get a reading, i used to check in there daily to pass some time and enjoy learning new things, i made some friends over there, they were psychics from all over the word, one them was a portuguese psychic, she speaks Spanish cause i think that Spanish and potuguese are nearly the same language, she taught me some of the basics and we enjoyed our time and had so much laughs, i told her that she might one day become a Spanish teacher and i'll pay her for it, she laughed and told me i'll teach you for free and i joked and asked her if i can get a free reading, she laughed and said that the site's policy would deny her from it...
So simple story is that a portuguese online psychic had taught me some of the Spanish basic language 😂😂

In middle school I had to take German and Spanish. I didn't do well with either, and my Spanish teacher recommended that I never take Spanish again. I guess I'm just too stupid to learn any other language.
