I am in the team "Don't like Marmite" just like I am in the team "Don't like Vegemite" if there are any Australians among us. I never could stand the taste of that horrible paste/spread that is based on yeast extract. The thought alone makes me want to run and look for some alternate food such as pastries. I could never understand how people could even approach that stuff. I guess that I have a delicate palate that refuses to eat things that are not made to be eaten in the first place. So, count me out. I will not shed a tear when that stuff is taken off the shelves once and for all.

Generally not, but Marmite can be really good when added to beef gravy and beef stew, and other meaty, savoury dishes where the Marmite brings out all kinds of deep and complex flavours. It's not something I like on its own, like on toast, but it's usually better when incorporated into something to add/boost flavour.
