I guess gifts? If it's my family I might ask for gifts and ice cream cake, but friends I don't ask for gifts from because them coming to celebrate my birthday is enough for me. My friends can still get me a gift, but it's not required.

At my age, birthdays are no longer important. The best present anyone can give me is to let me do whatever I want on my birthday. Sometimes that involves doing absolutely nothing, which drives my SO crazy.
