Not lies per se, but lines that hold some kind of truth we can take solace in:
-"The grass is always greener on the other side" don't worry, others envy you. And the people you idolise don't have it as good as you think.
-"You can't buy happiness" it's okay you're poor. Wealth won't make you happier.
-"What will be will be" don't try fighting fate, it's out of your control. Just let it happen.
And the general belief in karma- that people who do bad things will get what they deserve. Whether it's true or not, it keeps us calm
