I was damn near kicked out of a hotel today, because I was slow cooking menudo! Have you ever been kicked out of a hotel? If so, why?

A couple days ago, a sexy girl on here and I, were talking about Mexican food. I told her, that even though my mother is Mexican, I really don’t care for the food. However, today, I remembered I do like menudo but I couldn’t find anyplace that had it, so I bought a slow cooker and all the ingredients. I put everything in the cooker and left. When I got back, they were going to kick me out! I smoothed things over, mainly because of my charming personality. Have you ever been kicked out of a hotel? By the way, the menudo was delicious!

A couple friends and I were threatened to get kicked out twice. Once, because we had too many people in our room. Another time was similar to your incident. We had a plug-in skillet in our room and were told we had to turn it over to them. A friend asked what the difference was between that and a coffee pot in a room. Their response was actually reasonable, it’s a liability issue. The guy even said they couldn’t stop us from frying eggs on the coffee maker but they are authorized to confiscate any outside cooking devices. You are a liability to them! They should have thrown you in jail!

I can’t say I’ve ever been asked to leave a hotel. We’re they going to kick you out because of leaving a slow cooker unattended or because of the repulsive smell?

Lol! People were complaining about the smell. They actually went in my room and unplugged it! The main issue was me cooking in my room.

I have not, I do enjoy Mexican food and we have a favorite restaurant that is down in Tucson which makes the best chile rellenos I have had in four states (Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas)

Menudo is more of an extremely spicy soup. The meat is tripe. I’ve tried using regular pork and beef but it just doesn’t taste the same.

I once had a Mexican girlfriend. When we went to her parent's house and they were cooking menudo I had to leave the house and couldn't even sit at the table while people were eating it! Just thinking about it makes me nauseous! 🤢
