Ever had a really bad restaurant experience at a place you been to before?

went to this place downtown last night but it went south quick and never really recovered. first the initial server was rude to me , then no one else i knew was working , and on tv they only had this basketball game which no one was watching , the server never even asked if i wanted another drink , some girl saw me sitting at the bar and wondered why i was so upset and visibilly annoyed. anyways after my 1 drink was over i left and went home , it was just like terrible really

Last summer there was a car accident that knocked the power out. We didn't know until we walked into the restaurant, so when we noticed there was no power, we were heading out the door to leave when the owner stopped us. I know him and I told him we'll come back in a hour or so but he assured me that everything will be good. It was the worst meal I ever had. The mozzarella sticks and fries were burnt and cold, a long with everything else. That was also the only time I complained about a meal. We only ate half of it. I paid the waitress and the owner said he'd comp my next meal.

the restaurants here tend to be a lot slower during the winter compared to the busy summer season , you think that would lead to better customers experiences ( in the winter ) but it would appear some of the staff don't really care at this point and just see job as a pay cheque and individual customer as disposable and replaced with someone else

the owner of this specific restaurant seems stuck in the past and unwilling or unable to make the necessary changes to keep business modern and trendy.

his fixation seems to be in hiring young women with big boobs , almost like he thinks its still the 90's. the place has made some money during the summer but he seems unwilling to put much back into the business

and the concept is perhaps weird for this era , its suppose to be somewhat intimate almost like your at someones cottage if that makes sense except its full of random people i'd never invite over to my cottage if i had one , do people really want to get cozy with people they don't even know anymore?

With my management, they talk to our guests regularly, especially those with negative reviews whom made reservations… bad service definitely reflects the server’s schedule

@On_cloud_wine people have made negative reviews about this place online before ( often during the busy summer season when this restaurant is much busier than winter ) but owner never comments on them and appears they always go unanswered when they leave bad reviews on google maps

so they don't seem to care what people think of the place

Running a restaurant is a lot of work. Some don’t give a sh! t about Google Maps or yelp. Now Resy and open table, those are the ones who made reservations.. they look at those reviews because it’s the system they use.

If you really want to complain, be discreet about it and call or message your feedback on their website. You’ll likely get a reaponse

Yelp and Google Maps is something people use to take advantage of. If you had a negative experience, they’ll tell all their friends to chime in and make something up for revenge.

i feel it happens a lot here maybe cause some of our restaurants are more for " tourists " and the staff doesn't seem to care much , there used to making a lot of money and don't seem to really care much
