I hate when people close the bathroom door when no one in there, especially in the middle of the night when you can’t even tell the door closed… (that and it can trap the smell inside)

So you hate it when the door is closed and traps the odor inside. You want that odor to get out and fill the house.
Partially closed and lit by a night light inside. Vent fan removes odor when in use and a room deodorizer to rid the room of stronger odors.
If you spray before and after you go the smell don’t get bad… And yes I leave it open so you know door closed =occupied, open, well you can SEE it’s unoccupied
After a shower, there's higher air humidity. Exhaust fans do a lot, but you don't want to trap what water vapor is left as it may lead to black mold, so leaving the door open makes sense to me.
The toilet is another question as there is no need to ventilate the room by any other means than the exhaust fan.
I prefer these two to be in separate rooms as they have different ventilation needs, and also they can be used by different people at the same time.
During the day I leave IT closed, but during the night I leave IT open. That way the towels and the whole room can dry and a sleepy person going to the bathroom can get inside without any surprises😊
Closed! We also have a very curious dog and cat that will just come in and stare.
Haha don’t you hate that 🤣
@Brainsbeforebeauty it’s weird!

Before I leave my bathroom door open, I will light a match or two to make sure that there is no smell. It is pretty effective. Light it up and let it burn for a bit; shake it to put the flame out, then let it smoke as you move it around. Most times I only use one match. There are sometimes I require 2 to 3 matches. This is effective, and a quick way to clear the air.
I leave the door closed, but there's a window that's always open to some degree. I installed a motion detector switch that comes on automatically and turns off after 5 minutes of no movement. Normally I turn the light off manually, but even if I forget, it will go off by itself. You can tell if there's someone inside because the light will be on (unless they turn it off or remain still for 5 minutes), and likewise, you can tell it's vacant if the light is off.
I know it's weird sponge, but i have 2 bathrooms in my house, i keep the door of the master bathroom closed and leave the door of the 2nd bathroom opened 😁
Having two bathrooms isn’t weird lol
Nope that's not what's weird 🤦🏻♂️ the weird is that i keep one door opened and the other closed 😁
Closed. Gotta keep that shower ghost trapped
🤣🤣
I close my bathroom door. No particular reason other than me liking closed doors
I always leave a bathroom door open, except in my private bathroom. I always leave it closed with the nightlight on so that the light doesn’t disturb me.
I leave it open so it's very clear when it's occupied and you don't even have to knock EVER
Right!! Cuz sometimes when you got to go you really gotta go lol (or me at least lol)
If any room is being left unattended i would say open. If it’s being used then closed
Open, unless the fan is on to remove some recent strong odors.
If you can smell your bathroom odors from outside the bathroom...
that would mean you could also breathe all those bad particles
and that is asking for salmonella, pink eye, noroviruses and stuff... lol
Open, of course. A vent fan will pull any odors out in a few seconds, before they get
"into the house".
I live alone but when I'm not in there I leave it open.
@Brainsbeforebeauty we leave it closed mostly.
it’s never awkward to knock or take a look if no one opens
When is a door not a door?
For me it depends, usually open to get a breeze through the house.
The door is always open although bits only the 2 of us here most of the time and the dogs of course so it really doesn't matter.
I close it enough that you can fit a coin between the door and the jam
I usually leave it open.
Same but someone here keeps closing it
I leave it open when I'm not using it but I live alone so it really wouldn't matter in my house
Leave it slightly open , not totally wide open.
We usually pull the door to, but not fully close it.
I don't really do anything, most places I've seen the doors seem to shut themselves not always buy design. But I do think leave open.
If I closed the door my cat would lose her mind...
🤣🤣
Easier to tell it's empty
Exactly
We almost never close that door
Leave it open
I close it behind me
All doors must be closed.
Leave it open
Partially open
leave it open.
Closed so the ghosts can have privacy.
