I also fish a lot, and there’s a riverbend I often go to where the water is rushing a little, and it’s so peaceful to listen to👍

Yes 100% it is really amazing just how much it can make you forget things. A river at night has its own sounds. A stream or bubbling brook is really soothing, for me it is a great thing for a persons mental health. Walking in the Yorkshire Dales, Scotland, the Lakes in Cumbria or up in Wales Brecons or Snowdonia area, on a nice day is really relaxing and lets you zone out.

Definitely it’s one of my tranquility place to be anywhere by the water, which can be a soothing river, beautiful sight of the lake and ocean, or a beautiful water foundation. It brings calming to my soul as cringe as that sounds lol. I just feel at peace by the sound and sight of it. One of the perfect ways to do self-care and coping.

I grew up one street outside of Philadelphia. In between two major streets/highways. When I moved to a quite part of Houston Texas I could not sleep. For months I couldn't figure out why. It was because it was too silent. No cars, gun shots, police sirens, ghetto blasters blasting music. I found an app that plays thunderstorms and rain forever. It's the only way I can sleep. The silence is deafening

Very much! The sound of water is one of the most soothing things ever. A babbling brook, waves lapping on a lake shore, a trickling or splashing fountain, waves crashing and sizzling, rain in a forest or pounding on a tin roof.

I was out on a Pacific island last summer and the reef was just a couple hundred yards off shore. The waves crashing on the reef were like background noise. Kind of relaxing.
