Yess I did back when I was moving and didn't have a washer/dryer for a month. It sucked so bad and I hated having to get soo many quarters.
Luckily most use credit cards now
No doubt
Holy fuck no. I bought a compact washer and dryer around 5 years ago to avoid ever going to a laundromat for a little over 600 bucks. The first washer barely lasted 2 years because the motor was so goddamn powerful, that it wore out the transmission. Anyway I bought a larger and more efficient one shortly after and that fucker has worked as great as the first time I used it.
No I have a laundry machine at home, I know some people still don't but I am actually surprised that enough people don't that they stay in business, nevertheless there is a laundromat a couple of blocks from my house.
That was my interest
No because i don't know how sanitary/ well kept the laundromats are and if I leave my clothes and come back Im afraid homeless or weird people might steal some of my stuff like my underwear.
Someone stole my winter hat couple weeks ago… 😒

Every once in a while for camping gear, (such as sleeping bags) or really dirty work clothes.
The large oversized machines are great for bulky stuff for sure. They have signs posted locally here warning ⛔️ against greasy clothes
@charliefretz329 usually if I take something to the laundromat that's work clothing, I'll power wash it first in our driveway. if I've been using a chainsaw I don't want those clothes in our washing machine. I used to do a lot of aerial inspections for a variety of tree ailments, and I would launder my climbing ropes in a rope bag at the laundromat as well.
I’ve considered installing a second machine in the garage for just this reason. I pick em up all the time alongside the road for spare parts and scrap value anyway.
Totally understand the hesitancy to intermingle
That is an awesome idea! That's the second best plumbing idea for a garage that I've ever heard. The first is a urinal.
I live in the country so my whole backyard is a urinal… but an outdoor crapper 🚽 is ingenious
I'll pee off the front porch at night, but we're not on big acreage (2acres) so I generally can't do that during the day. I definitely pee wherever I want when we visit my folks back in Missouri.
Freedom 😎
Only to wash extra large blankets.
The mega loaders can’t be beat
I used to own a facility with a little under 100 units.
College kids always broke the machines and vandalized the facility.
So, I sold the business.
Only when I visit home because my mom and I are too afraid to go in the basement 😅
We feel bad making my dad go down there every time, so it’s easier to just go to the laundromat.
When I first moved out on my own I did for a while. Only until I bought some for my home.
Same
We have a washer and dryer at home, so we've never needed to use a laundromat. Not even when we went on trips.
Just the one in the laundry room of our home and with 3 young boys I visit it very often!
I have not used a laundromat in years. It was right after I got married and was living in an apartment.
Usually use my own but do use them now n then
Yes for bulky clothes, do most washing by hand,,,
Only when I travel. I haven't had to use shared laundry facilities at home for years.
That’s a big pain in the butt going there and waiting around. I have my own washer and dryer
No. I use mommas laundry service
You make your momma wash your drawers? 🫤
Ok, that’s commendable
Washer is broken at the moment
Inconvenient lol
Very 😡 😂
I’ve washed clothes in the bathtub before and line dried. 🙄
Ah thats SO annoying.
Cheap tough… 🤔
True
For over 1/2 of my adult life.
I've done it before... but not for myself
Not often. Only when my machine is broken.
