We use ours nearly every day. Sometimes twice. Since getting solar panels I'm more aware of the effect on the electricity consumption

For that reason, and with "night rate electricity" I started running overnight. Tumble dryer is timed to start at 2am

Make sense? Anyone else do same?

Only thing now is to gently persuade other people in the house not to run it during the day!

I try not to because it eats away my electric. If the weather is dry I will put the clothes on the washing line for a bit then put them on a maiden to dry through the night.

Yeah in the winter usually although in the summer i try to put it on a clothesline to dry unless it's raining and don't have a choice.

I only use the drying cycle to dry my towels, everything else goes on the rack and I let it air dry for one day.
