If someone always jokes about raping, are the chances of him being a rapist high?

I honestly don't know how many times I don't gotta laugh for him to get the picture that it's not funny, its someone I know, he isn't my friend even tho he most likely considers himself one, always brings up rape at some point, something else that kinda gives me this vibe is that about a year ago he got bit on the balls by a dog, a non aggressive dog for that matter, I thought it was maybe natural justice hitting him for some reason that wasn't my business but I also know he speaks dirty about minors as well, he bragged at some point about a minor that he might sleep with (17), I don't know if it happened but he never spoke of her again so i assumed it didn't, I've known him for a long time and he's always been like this cause we always had dark humor about killing people and shit but they were just jokes and I thought he was just joking too but I noticed a difference in character after his girlfriend broke up with him and left him for one of the fake friends he used to hang out with, I warned him about these fake friends too but that's not the subject here, future rapist maybe? 🤔

in my experience as a police investigator,  'rapists' can be sorted into two primary types. There are those who're bullys ; they're often disempowered in daily life and as such  they seek to inspire fear and terrorize employing to 'weapon-ize' involuntary sexual conduct. Nah ignore the people reading into it.

Humor is humor. It's not indicative of actual intentions.

He just needs to pick his audience better. For example I have a friend group I would go all out with when it comes to dark humor, and another group where I tone it down because they don't appreciate it as much. But either way I'm not inclined towards doing anything I joke about.

Now bragging about sleeping with a minor that's a bit more alarming. I have a friend who dated girl that was a couple of years younger so when he turned 18 she was still 16 (they started dating when both where minors) 6 years later they broke up but he never once bragged about it like her youth being an achievement.
And as an example, we make dark jokes by calling him a pedo. It was in good fun and he knew that. And he was never into kids.

It's definitely higher than normal. I think a lot of times people will make those jokes to test the waters with people around them. I suspect there are a lot more people who wish they could rape and get away with it than we think.

Some underlying issues that give us question of concern, whether they are just joking around or being serious , in most cases they are just joking , because the truth is , if someone was really a rapist they wouldn’t be talking about it unless they were complete moron. Some people can’t handle dark humor and honestly they are the type of people that make dark humor even more funny because they take it so seriously

I wouldn't say the chances are "high" in any absolute sense. Possibly higher than average, though. It kind of depends on other factors. If he is a habitual liar chances are good he actually has a lower than average chance of being a rapist. It could also be he is sing "humor" to try to fend off despair over some horror. I don't really know him..

I don't know. Could just be dark humor. I knew a guy that would constantly make dead baby jokes. Yet he never killed a baby. At the time I thought it was gross. Besides rape jokes used to be a common thing. Family guy for sure does it all the time. The show community does it as well. Ik two teens that used to say rape jokes as well. They’d say “rape time” like it was comedy gold. But it doesn’t make them a rapist. Wellll one of them might turn out to be one cuz it seems like he gets crazier by the day but the other one is a good kid just an idiot.

If he has dark humour it could just be that. It doesn't necessary imply anything. Unless he hates women and thinks of them all as sluts and whores then that might imply he could be a rapist eventually.
