I've had "pet" frogs before. We have a summer home in the woods with a creek running across the front yard so, we saw frogs and tadpoles all the time. We'd catch them and keep them in a pan of water for a few hours until it was time to go home and then we'd let them go. We'd ask him how deep the creek was where he lives and he'd say, "Knee deep. Knee deep". Sometimes, we'd get some of those mini frogs, too.

My brother had a pet California toad that he found in a construction site in 2004 or 2005. It was at least a couple years old by then. That damned toad lived until a couple years ago

That's cause they are small, here there's toads, those big slimy ones that possibly carry several viruses, I promise im not normally mean but these toads are loud, they scream all together and make a toad parade in the middle of the night, not a good noise either
