more money can mean more stress that is workplace/career related but also... it is going to easy your mind in many financial aspects, as it is going to meet many of your needs and they will be fulfilled
but a job or career less money... while it can bring you peace of mind as it does not require you to wear out your guts, it could still bring you some stress or dissatisfaction if you're not making enough money to meet your needs or to enjoy some things that you would like and also might take away your peace if some major event does happen and bigger sums of money are required to solve these
so... I guess it all depends on the person and what kind of work you're actually built for
I do consider myself to be very good at working under pressure and also to be able to manage stress well enough, and this is one of the reasons why I have my own business, however... it doesn't mean I am immune to stress and that pressure has no effect on me no
it can be still, very rough... and I am just willing to withstand it and also able to manage well enough with a few things I got in place
and to me it is worth because allows me to provide not only for myself but for my family as well, so that's good for me, might not be what others want
The issue with being a high earner is that you can't let up on the gas and the stress will take a toll on you sooner or later. Why work a job thay stresses you out and fucks with your health over a job that gives some stress, but nowhere near the amount that could affect you health wise?
There is a reason high stress jobs usually have a turnover rate or a limit amount of years to work. It just becomes too much.
the better is what will let you grow. In most cases, it means going out of your comfort zone.
But it also depends on your private situation. If you just quit a mega-toxic job, less paid but peaceful work could help you recover.
So there is no one or right answer. Context has a meaning.
Peace of mind. Money isn't worth taking years off your life with your loved ones.

I suppose it depends on what we consider "stress". I actually enjoy high-stress and high-pressure situations and actually tend to get stressed out if my life isn't stressful enough which makes the wording tricky to me.
Yet if it's interfering with my peace of mind (like it's not stressful enough), I might prefer a job that's more stressful (and therefore less stressful to me) that pays less.
Apologies for being so confusing trying to navigate the ambiguities of these words. I am bizarrely and oppositely-wired from most people though. For example, most programmers like me *hate* crunch. Some even claim that repeated crunches have damaged their mental health and made them contemplate suicide.
I actually *love* crunch. It's my favorite time of the year since I love high-pressure situations that demand the most from me. So I'm an oddball that way.
So I'd actually take what most people would consider a "more stressful" programming job if it means more crunches and higher-pressure deadline scenarios over an easy-going, "less stressful" one even if the latter pays more. So I'm an oddball but I'd prefer a more stressful, lower-paying job to a less stressful, higher-paying one.
Without a time frame it is impossible to tell. For example extra stress but 10x the pay for 2 years is worth it if low stress but 10x less pay for 10 years. But it also comes down to knowing your limits. I worked in a decently high stress environment for around 20 years and am now retired. I could have gone far lower stress but I wouldn't be retired for another 30 or so years
Jobs that have a lot of stress usually pay more because companies know that they cannot get people to put up with the BS without offering more money. If you are raising a family and wondering about how you will send your kids to college you might have to take the job and suck it up. It all depends on what your life situations are and what your goals are.
As long as they're both livable, I would go with the less money less stress. I don't mind living in a small place and having an older vehicle. I don't plan on having 10 kids I need to care and provide for. I don't need a lot of money.
I make about a third of what I used to because I wanted better work-life balance and to be closer to home. Don't regret it for a moment. Not a one. Never have. Not even close.
Less stress, peace of mind please.
In my career, I've turned down possibilities to make a lot more money, because that job wouldn't be fun and interesting... and too stressful.
Everyone has a level of stress that they're comfortable with. Without some level of stress we wouldn't need to get out of bed. On the other hand if you're under so much stress that you can't function, you're not helping yourself or anyone.
Eh... depends on the salary difference we're talking, but I'd generally prefer less money with peace of mind.
Peace of mind. The joy of life often come from things that are free in some way, just take time to notice them in peaceful moment to realize its right there.
The second one if you like the job n r makin enough. Even if u don't like the job u should choose the second one if u don't like the stress n won't hate goin 2 the job.
No reason to take on a stressful job unless you really need the money
