I'm done with stress. Give me less money, please. lol Besides, I have never been motivated by money, material possessions or status, so it's never been a part of my jam. I don't need much to be happy in life and less stress is worth its weight in gold. I'm a path-of-least-resistance kind of guy. 😊
I'm presently working on transcending the concept of jobs. Generally though I used to take the hardest best paying gig going.
These days I'm realizing that health is the foundation of wealth, and will be centering around the gym, eating well and studying again.
It's probably going to take a year or so for me to shake off my day job while still earning more PT self employed.
To help society and as a good human I should be choosing the most stressful "productive" job, but I would go with the less stressful personally
Lower paying job that is less stressful, so long as I'm still able to make ends meet.

I am 50 and at this stage of my life I would go for less stress. When I had 3 kids to put through college I had to do anything I could to make as much money as I could.
I would need more details.
Because if the pay is too low then the rest of life could be stressful.
Voted A. My life is already stressful, I don't need more stress in it.
I think I might even prefer a stressful job that pays less to a less stressful one that pays more.
I think Jim Infantino wrote a song about that.
@NamerOfStars Listened to it and can relate to much of it! I think I'm just wired in a weird way though. For example, my idea of a vacation is something thrilling, adventurous, which also tends to be at least physically stressful for many people. But I actually tend to feel refreshed through it, while doing something like lounging at a swimming pool and receiving massages starts to make me feel like a zombie. It's a similar thing for me when my job is least "stressful". I actually take the most stress from it feeling like a zombie. Meanwhile, when the pressure heats up, and deadlines approach, I feel alive and in the zone and it sort of wakes me up from my slumber and makes me feel all motivated and excited.
@NamerOfStars It actually even manifests in my interpretation of music, which seems to be completely backward. Songs that are meant to be very relaxing and calming and soothing don't have that effect on me. They actually start to stress me out. Meanwhile, if I listen to something like this, it calms me down and relaxes me, and makes me feel "alive" and energetic:

I went with a job with more money and more stress, pretty much everyday I’m tempted to go back
Go back to what?
Less stressful job
Definitely less. I already dread getting out of bed to go to work. I don't want to deal with any more crap than I have to. ... Funny how I posted a question about this literally 15 minutes ago...
A. Enjoying my peace of mind is way more important than money.
I'll go for the stress until I got 100k in the bank
Is dealing opioids a stressful job? Because I've heard it pays really well.
There are cartels to deal with, so yes quite stressful.
@EnglishEuropean doctors seem to get away with dealing opioids without dealing with the cartels.
My entire corporate work was stressful, but it paid reasonably well.
At the end of the day the more money you have the less stressful your life will be overall. Not knowing if you can pay the rent = real stress!
One I enjoy that pays enough for all I need, which is gonna happen. At least, that’s what I keep telling myself.
I have done enough high paying stressful jobs in my life. Not ready to retire yet so have a medium paying low stress job!
Take a less stressed job and Build your side gig.
Depends on my. goals. And the amount
