Sure. No prob.
I learned to drive on an automatic. But when I was 15, an uncle taught me to drive a stick shift in his VW bug.
When I got my license as soon as I turned 16, I had cars with automatic transmissions. Then in my early 20s, I bought a souped up '72 El Camino with a Hearst shifter, modified transmission and rear end, wide tires, air shocks, and a 327 engine bored out to 350 with RV cams. That thing could go.
I went to Europe for a month in my early 30s and drove a stick left handed in England and Ireland. I know how to drive.Yep. All drivers here in London can, because that's what we take our test on.. We call it 'manual', as opposed to automatic without one!
Yup, pretty sure thats mandatory here at least my first car I ever drove with the driving instructor next to me was immediately stick.
Most people in the UK can drive a stick shift and if they take the test for that they are also allowed to drive automatics, but if you pass you test in an automatic you would have to take a test for a stick shift if you want to drive one.
Yeah I learned to drive a manual and it was a few years until I even drove an automatic.
I can't drive legally but I can get a automatic moving, I've driven 3 and admit I broke one of those
Im in the usa and i learned on a 4-speed stick shift/manual. Currently my daily is a 4- speed manual. Ironically its a 1970s British sports car. (See my profile background)
It's been a while since I've done it, but I know how.
yes they didn't have automatics much when I learned to drive took my driving test for my license with a stick
Yes. I drive a stick for years. Only switched to an automatic when my then-wife didn't know how to drive a stick.
I had to learn to drive a stick Jeep when I was in our village's Civil Defense.
I might still be able to do it without ripping up the trans TOO much. ;- )
No. I've never even been in a car like that.
I always drive stick. I even got a car with six gears so I could change gear more often.
I could, but it's been many years since I've driven one. I'd have go get the feel back.
Poorly. But I have paddle buttons on my car and pretend sometimes.
That’s the best way to drive. I love driving with a stick. It makes me feel like I am driving a car. The feel in shifting the gear is awesome
I understand the theory, but have yet to try it out.
i could teach you. i always have a stick on me
Is that what they call driving a proper, ordinary car stateside?
I'm sure I could still remember if I bothered to try.Yes. I only drive stick.
