    Sure. No prob.
I learned to drive on an automatic. But when I was 15, an uncle taught me to drive a stick shift in his VW bug.

When I got my license as soon as I turned 16, I had cars with automatic transmissions. Then in my early 20s, I bought a souped up '72 El Camino with a Hearst shifter, modified transmission and rear end, wide tires, air shocks, and a 327 engine bored out to 350 with RV cams. That thing could go.

I went to Europe for a month in my early 30s and drove a stick left handed in England and Ireland. I know how to drive.

I learned on an automatic but a guy who worked with my father came over one day and he had a VW bug, He let me drive it around the vacant lot next door.

I do, I learned how to drive on a Triumph TR6 that my dad restored, my first car was a Mazda Miata with a 5 speed manual, now I drive a Porsche Cayman GTS 4.0 with a 6 speed manual. I love driving a manual sports car, the only drawback is sometimes it can be a bit of a challenge when I'm wearing my stilettos.

Yep. All drivers here in London can, because that's what we take our test on.. We call it 'manual', as opposed to automatic without one!

Most people in the UK can drive a stick shift and if they take the test for that they are also allowed to drive automatics, but if you pass you test in an automatic you would have to take a test for a stick shift if you want to drive one.

@jamesgoldman Absolutely, I learned on driving tractors. then cars came easy, three on the tree, four on the floor. In my younger days I prefered a stick, four on the floor was my favorite. I had a muscle car with four on the floor in high school back when gas was less than fifty cents a gallon. Could drive all day on two dollars worth of premium.

I had to learn to drive a stick Jeep when I was in our village's Civil Defense.

I might still be able to do it without ripping up the trans TOO much. ;- )
