If shortness and straight hair are recessive genes, why do South and SE Asians have those features?

For instance Chinese and Japanese are generally short with straight hair. Yet those are recessive genes so why do most have those traits?

Even in Latin countries, they are shorter than your typical European neighbor. Why if shortness is recessive?

Yeah they stay within their group. The only time I've ever seen a taller Chinese man of 5'11 (he had full Chinese features but in a very tall version) was because he was mixed. The guy's father was a tall, white German but he still got his mother's features.

Height is not a recessive genes, its mainly caused by diet, thats why with better and easier access to food, people have grown taller and taller compared to the...13th 15th 17th, ... century.

Also if an recessive gene exist in almost every lifeform, the offspring are really likely to show the corresponding phenotype.

It happens a lot on closed of areas like islands.

Because those are common physical traits among them. Just like blue eyes being recessive... However, last time I checked, there were more Scandinavians with blue eyes than brown.

Yeah I've heard of that too. Interesting. It's cool when they start mixing with other races and a combination is born.
If a typical, short Chinese woman for instance had kids with a tall German or Dutch man, that would create taller Chinese kids; an upgraded version.
