Why is it extremely rare for East Asian men like Korean Japanese Chinese to have long hair?

In general, I get the feeling that choosing any sort of non-conventional look in East Asian countries like China and Korea and Japan means that you will be judged. Long hair on men are one of the things that are exceedingly rare in China and Korea and Japan. I dont think I ever seen Chinese men and Korean men and Japanese men with long hair.. People will assume things about you which can range from you being an artist to being homeless. With that said, I guess it depends a lot on where you're heading to as well.
