Such as your city, town or country? Personally, I've always felt I can't relate to most people here (both in terms of looks and mentality) and always felt marginalized, till I moved away

Yep. I have this myself. I hate the place I grew up in. I grew up in a busy region near big cities. Its so fast-paced, growded and noisy. Its the town which has the only trainstation in the region, so everyone goes there to get the train to the cities. So love hightraffic hours, its like being an fish in a can.

And everyone knows eachother, from childhood till adult life. I hate it. My youth has been rough, I made mistakes in my life (like every human does in its life), and it has been following me eversince now/today. I got confronted about this the most when I went to high-school and someone I never met in my life knew about a stupid mistake I did when I was four at kindergarten.
Also people know eachother or know their families. So I'll always be "the son of the old cheese-famillystore" or "the guy who always had cops or ambulance at his door" in my town.

I'm planning to move to the other side of the country to have a fresh start. Away from the cities and living in towns which have nature around them instead of noise. Everytime I visit an friend of mine who lives at the other side of the country, I love it there. I love the place near his town. All the nature and all the peace of mind. I truly am able to have peace of mind by just walking there in the nature and not to worry about life. Till it have to go back to home. Back to the noise and fast-paced life. I just want to be my own person instead of being followed by my past and familly. Not to be "the son of someone" but people knowing ME for being ME. Not for being someone's son, Someones f*king property or something. ME. To have a life of my own. And mostly: To be free. Thats why I made the decision to leave everyone and everything behind and move away when I gratuate in some months.

I have opposite experience but weirdly it kind of feels the same. I grew up in Melbourne. Which apparently is considered a pretty cool city to grow up in. I have lived interstate and abroad and all I get told is OMG why would you leave melbourne. It is such a good city. Why would you move HERE instead. I feel constantly insulted by this like somehow they are calling me insane to dare live anywhere else they view as inferior. Even though for me its not about inferior or superior its just I want something different. It can be boring being in same place all your life.

Yeah I get hear a lot of people shitting on Perth since we're surrounded by a huge desert, the crippling Aussie outback, and the city itself is so small that it's 20 mins away from the shore. A clip's been going around of Logan Paul at a recent match mocking the audience for living here 😍

Yes! I have the same feeling. I could never go back to that place ever again. I also feel that I have nothing in common with the people anymore to me they're all a bit retarded. Whenever I go to my parents home I try not to stay more than a week.

No, the place I grew up is close by and I still love the place. The nearest large city has gone downhill the last 10-15 years though, I’ll never live there and if I didn’t have to work there, I’d steer clear of it.
